Rite of Passage’s California Foster Families is a private, non-profit Foster Family Agency, licensed to approve Resource Families in the state of California. Our agency provides stable, home-based placement alternatives for children in California’s foster care and probation systems. California Foster Families has delivered family-based treatment with enriched support services since 2002.

We recognize that understanding and building upon the strengths of a child cannot be accomplished by focusing solely on the individual–instead, our focus in on the entir system of staff, family, child and the community.

History

California Foster Families was formed with the main objective of providing the highest quality of care for children in need. Established in 2002, the program focuses on helping every child reach their full potential by building upon their unique strengths, nurturing their dignity and pride, improving their problem solving skills and restoring their attachments to family and community.
